By placing an Order, you agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions as laid out below. These do not affect your statutory rights. Any contract created by placing an order with us will be governed by English law.
We accept orders via our website,by email, telephone, fax and post. The important thing is we know exactly what you require; therefore, please include as many details as possible. The most common oversight is what colour/finish the goods are; this means another email/fax/ phone call to confirm details which slows down the whole ordering process! All web orders are acknowledged and availability of goods confirmed; unless previously discussed.
We aim to ship all orders within 24 to 48 hours of receipt of order ; assuming the goods are in stock and allowing for Weekends and Business holidays. The “Next Day Delivery” option only accounts for Monday to Friday.
If not, we will let you know; and will advise, to the best of our knowledge, how long they are likely to be and the options open to you as a result. If you wish to wait, we accept your order and await our delivery and ship as soon as they arrive. If your order can be partially completed but for a few small items; we can arrange for these to follow; usually by post at No additional cost.
All orders placed via our website are charged through the automated payment gateway. Even if they are not in stock, in this case you will be notified ASAP.
VAT and Duty
If you live or the goods are being delivered within the EU; we have to charge you UK VAT on top of the website prices (at the new 2011 rate of 20%) unless you are EU based (not UK) and can supply us with a valid EU VAT Registration number; which we can verify as being attributable to the business or name you wish us to charge.
VAT rules and regulations are approaching draconian in the UK; and it is essential to our business that we work within them – therefore there will be no exceptions for any reason whatsoever. Outside of the EU there is no VAT payable; however; you may be liable for local Customs duty and or taxes. Please check with your local authorities what is applicable as we are unable to advise on this. Duty is payable to the courier on or prior to delivery of the goods; who will have already paid these in advance on your behalf to clear customs – they may also add a brokerage fee for this service – we cannot be responsible for these.
We do our best with the use of the correct tariff codes and paperwork to minimise this liabilty – however; these charges are completely outside of our control. Under no circumstances can we under value goods on paperwork to reduce Customs and duty charges. This constitutes fraud and has serious implications for us. Please do not ask us to do so.
Secure Ordering Process
Using features included with internet browsing software and a secure server , your orders are processed securely. When you go to our secure server form, your browser automatically changes to a secure form (Denoted by https:// address in secure mode rather than the usual http://) Depending on which browser you are using, your browser will show the secure symbol (a padlock for Internet Explorer for example) in either the bottom left or lower right corner of your window. When the secure symbol is displayed, your order is encrypted by the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to ensure the security of the information when it is transmitted to the secure server; having completed the order page together with your personal details; then you are directed through to the payment page.
Carriage and delivery
All carriage charges are based on what it costs us (we do not intend to profit on carriage charges) – this includes insurance and packing charges. We prefer to use DPD Couriers, UPS, DHL or Royal Mail for the dispatch of our goods – though we will endeavour to accommodate your preferred carrier. Delivery times quoted are our best estimates of the service offered by our couriers and we shall not be held liable for any consequential loss or damage resulting from failure to meet these times.
