Another exemplary lens, the 180mm is one of 7 lenses with the Nikkor-W range. All the lenses from the 100mm to the 300mm have a constant F5.6 aperture. Ambitiously Nikon designed the W Series to offer the maximum resolution and brilliance for general photography. ‘ The Finest All Purpose Large Format Lenses we’ve ever produced ‘ Nikon claimed at the time. Using state of the art computer design, new optical glass and Nikon renowned NIC Multi-Coating, the lenses are and remain some of the best and most consistent lenses within their range.

Like all the W Series, the 180mm uses a 6 element design in 4 groups design. The F5.6 aperture range provides good illumination when focusing and for composition. Suitable for use on 5×4″ and 5×7″. With it’s large image circle it provides additional coverage when using the large range of movement on 5×4″. It provides a 208mm covering circle at F22 when using 5×7″

In excellent condition. With slight signs of use and usage. Lens is clean and dust free. The Copal 1 shutter has been tested and is accurate.
