For anybody who wants to develop their photographic creativity, the filter holder is the starting point in any system.

The Lee Filters Foundation Holder has been THE go-to-holder for photographers serious about using system filters. The Foundation Holder is adaptable, it’s simple to use and capable of being used with any 100mm wide filters.

One of the key features of the holder is it’s adaptability. Using a series of user interchangeable filter slots. The holder can be used with one filter, two, three or more allowing the greatest flexibility. You can attach a polariser, with the dedicated attachment ring and still with total control of the grad filter. Capable of being used with 1mm gel filters, 2mm resin filters or even 4mm glass filters with the correct size filter slots.

Attaching a Lee 100 Adapter Ring is easy. It’s held in place with spring loaded clip. Either the Lee 100 Standard Adapter Ring or Lee 100 Wide Adapter Ring can be used according to the lens. Sufficient tension means that the holder can still be rotated on the ring but is secure. Simplicity to then rotate the holder to level a horizon line.

Supplied ready assembled with 2 filters slots. A third set is supplied plus extra screws and a screwdriver if users wish to add an additional filter. Users can purchase additional filter slots, screws of various sizes as well.

Filter use versatility

The Lee Filters Foundation Kit is primarily designed to take 100mm filters, although other filter sizes can be adapted to fit. 100mm x 100mm, 100mm x 125mm, 100mm x 150mm size filters can be used. Either Neutral Density, ND Graduated Filters. Colour Grad filters, special effect types. Lee Filters also offer a Linear or Cir-Polariser in a (square) 100mm x 100mm size for scientific users.

Use a polariser by fitting the Lee 105mm Front Holder Ring which allows the fitment of a 105mm polariser. Lee offer a 105mm Linear Polariser, 105mm Cir-Polariser as well as the newer 105mm Landscape Polariser. Other brands can also be used.

Users can also buy the Lee Tandem Adapter which will couple a additional Lee Foundation Holder for greater capacity.

Capable of being used with many different formats, APS-C, 35mm, Medium Format. Lee Filters also offer the Foundation Holder as a Push On Holder. Available in 3 sizes. A push fit attachment method means that some large format lenses with extreme sizes can still be accommodated.
