Beware of this Flickr scam

Beware of this Flickr scam
9th May 2014 Steve Martin

Several users of Flickr have reported receiving a message, putting forward what appears to be an offer that is seemingly too good to be true. Unfortunately in this case, this does look like a Flickr scam.

The message is worded similarly to this:

Hi, your shots are beautiful.
I want to purchase some of your images for my group related to digital art, would you be interested? I can offer a regular cooperation, I usually offer $60 per picture
If you are interested, please drop me a line to [email address] because I’m not logging in to messages at Flickr on a regular basis.

The fact that users have reported the same message from various different users suggest that this is not a genuine offer.

Please share this message with people that you know that use Flickr.
