The Leofoto GC-404C Geared Center Column can be used in combination with tripods where you can remove the 100 mm tripod plate, such as the larger tripods of the Summit series. A geared center column is particularly useful if you want to adjust the height with exact precision. Accurate adjustment with a normal center column can sometimes be difficult if you have a heavy camera mounted on the ballhead. With the turning crank of the GC-404C from Leofoto, you can adjust the height by 14mm with each complete swing.This geared center column is the perfect choice for those who want to have a more precise positioning of their camera.

After removing the video plate in the tripod, lower the geared center column into the vacated space. In doing so, the rotary crank must be rotated in its entirety in the direction of the center column. This is easily done by pulling off the black top of the crank and turning it a quarter turn. After placing it, secure the center column the gray butterfly nut.
