Popular and adaptable as the Lee 100 System is, the filter system is still constrained when trying to use it for many medium format, large format and ultra wide lenses.

The Lee SW150 Professional Filter System was developed to overcome these issues and uses filters that are 150mm wide, significantly bigger than the 100 system.

The last 2o years has seen a significant increase in the availability and variety of ultra wide and ultra wide zooms, in particular for 35mm(full frame) cameras. Unsurprisingly photographers have found their horizons literally emboldened by these designs. However the frustrations have been that when used for landscapes the lenses could not be used successfully with filters. Vignetting being a real problem and filter systems like the Lee 100 were not big enough when attempting to use lenses at the widest setting. Plus many of the lenses were designed with a ‘built in lens hood’ which made a tradition filter system impossible to adapt.

Lee Filters developed the SW150 with these practical issues in mind. Using much larger 150mm wide filters, a full range of Neutral Density, ND Graduated, Colour Grads as well as Polarisers and other special effects filters are available. A range of special and unique adapter rings enables many of theses lenses to be used.

The updated SW150 Mark II holder has been developed further and a special new Lee accessory, ( Lee Sw150 Light Shield ) now allows use of the Lee SW150 Little Stopper, Big Stopper, Super Stopper. The system also now offers the Lee SW150 Polariser and new IRND ProStop Series.

One of the new features of the SW150 MKII Holder is that a series of threaded adapter rings that can be used with conventional lenses. Sizes from 72mm to 105mm are available.

The Lee SW150 Mark II Filter Holder comes assembled with two filter slots, enabling you to use more than one filter. Also supplied is the Lee SW150 Light Shield.
