Heliopan Collapsible Rubber Lens Hoods are suitable for use on most wide to telephoto lenses due to their flared shape and the ability to be fold down for very wide angle use. They are constructed of a heavy-duty rubber, with a textured matte inner pattern to dampen reflections.

The construction is much more solid than some brands of rubber hood, something to appreciate when you pick one up. They have a thread at the front of the mount, as well as the back. The useful front thread means that you can use a polariser or alternatively a neutral density filter with minimal fuss.

Like using a tripod, a Heliopan Rubber Lens Hood is one of the most simple and effective ways to improve your photos. Stray light spillage and reflections often cause photos to lose contrast and colour saturation, as well as lens flare – which might not always be an effect you want!
