The camera that piqued our interest in this case is the Sony A7R Mk II, a full-frame 42 million pixel, mirrorless camera. We found that it really does deliver as much as it promises with an ISO sensitivity through the roof, fast autofocus, image stabilisation to reduce blur for those difficult hand held shots AND a 4K video recording function to boot.
When you first pick up the Sony A7R Mk II, you will notice just how small and lightweight it is, whilst still being extremely well made. You’ll soon be carrying this around with you everywhere.
Add to that an expanding range of Zeiss lenses and other accessories, including third party lens adapters, and you have a system that’s hard to beat. In fact, we like the Sony A7R Mk II so much that there is one in our rental department for you to try out, but make sure you book in advance or you might find that our very own Lawrence Wiles has taken it out on loan himself for his latest project!
