I just purchased Capture One, what do I do now and how do I activate Capture One on my computer. NOTE: Capture One can be activated and used in 3 modes: 1) Capture One/Express - Basic version for DSLR and digital back RAW file support 2) Capture One in DB mode - Full version for digital backs only 3) Capture One in PRO mode - The same as Capture One DB but full version for DSLR support/tethering/lens tools etc... For back owners it's free of charge to use Capture One in DB mode - no license needed - see the screendump, activate and enjoy.

As you own the Capture One Product Key you have full access to control it's use. There is a do-it-yourself way to release activations with the software so that you can move activations to different computers without any action from Phase One Technical Support, and it's simple. You can also use this procedure to deactivate computers that have been formatted or are otherwise inaccessible. If you are trying to deactivate a computer that is currently activated and has Capture One installed you can do so directly from within the application. Please see the following Knowledge Base article: How to deactivate Capture One directly in the application.

It is now possible to deactivate a specific instance of Capture One directly from within the software. Eliminating the need to contact Phase One support in order to free up activation credits or to install Capture One on new or upgraded computer, or to switch between Capture One Modes (trial, DB, non PRO and PRO). In case you no longer have access to the computer on which you wish to deactivate Capture One and/or in case this computer has been formatted or otherwise erased, you can still reset the key by following instructions in this Knowledge Base article: How to deactivate Capture One using the Phase One website.
